Paul Dalley is a specialist anaesthetist working at Wellington Public and Wakefield Hospitals. He trained in Anaesthesia in New Zealand and Australia and has gained further sub-speciality anaesthetic experience while working at the University of Washington in the USA. He has areas of special interest and expertise in Anaesthesia for upper abdominal cancer and Gastrointestinal surgery as well as surgery for obesity and metabolic problems. His other areas of expertise are in anaesthesia for cardio-thoracic and vascular anaesthesia, trans-oesphageal echocardiography and regional anaesthesia.

Paul's peri-operative focus is on minimising risk and optimising the physiological response to the stress of surgery. He aims to provide top quality analgesia and facilitate the rapid recovery from surgery.
